What a comeback! Taken off the endangered species list in 2007, the Bald Eagle is alive & well in Morgan Hill, California. This photo was taken of a Bald Eagle that is a regular visitor to Lake Anderson, and he has been seen frequently along with a few friends in the Holiday Lake Estates neighborhood. This old digger pine at the end of Manzanita Drive is one of his favorite perches, because it offers a great vantage point to hunt for ducks & fish in the lake below. You've come a long way, Baldy!

The results are in, & the South Santa Clara County Wineries made an outstanding showing in the recent 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Jason-Stephens Winery took home the most awards, but Creekview Vineyards, Fortino Winery, Guglielmo Winery, JD Hurley, Martin Ranch Winery, Kirigin Cellars, Sarah's Vineyard, Satori Cellars, Solis Winery, Sycamore Creek Winery, and Therese Vineyards all came home with medals.
